On the occasion of his event, the last Sunday in August its image moves from the Basilica and Real Sanctuary of Santa Maria de la Victoria to the Holy Cathedral Basilica of Malaga where its worshipped with a “novena” preach . To this assists people of all ages, children, and members of the brotherhood who come to see their mistress.
Then on 8 September a procession in which the image is carried from the cathedral to the Santuario de la Victoria, temple where it usually is located.
Day Schedule :
11.00: Solemn Pontifical Mass presided by the Bishop of Málaga Jesus E. Catalá. Before the start of the celebration of Mass, the City of Málaga makes an offer of daylilies to the front of the throne of the Virgin.
12.30: popular offer at the main facade of the cathedral. These flowers adorn the throne, the chapel of the Basilica de la Victoria, or are used for the shower of petals during the procession. This event will be enlivened by various groups of folk dances.
19.30: Procession of the Virgen de la Victoria. The procession will start from the “Puerta de las cadenas” at the Cathedral Basilica, in order to reach this place at 23.00. It then will continue for the Patio de los Naranjos, Santa Maria, Molina Lario, Plaza del Obispo, Molina Lario, Strachan, Torre de Sandoval, Marqués de Larios, Plaza de la Constitucion, Granada, Plaza de Spinola, Calderería, Uncibay Square, Casapalma, Cárcer, Alamos, Plaza de la Merced (side West and North), Victoria, Victory square (Garden of the Apes), Compass and the Victoria Sanctuary to reach the temple.
